Friday Finds Jan 15th

FF

Friday Finds originated at A Daily Rhythm and I like to participate once or twice a month to tell you about the books I recently added to my TBr and I’m most excited to read!

Happy Friday everyone! What amazing things do you have planned? What books do you want to read this weekend?

This is my very first Friday Finds blog post and I’m pretty excited about it. So this weeks book is…

Stolen Songbird by Danielle L Jensen

I discovered this book, which is the first in a trilogy, on Bekahs YouTube channel Bekah AwesomeBookNut

Why I added this book to my TBR: 17926775
1. Bekah and I seem to have similar taste in books so I trust her judgement here.
2. I had never heard of this series so I was excited to investigate further.
3. Beautiful covers
4. It includes a rebellion, have a mentioned how much I LOVE a good rebellion?
5. A lot of my friends on Goodreads also give the trilogy high praise.

Here is the summary from Goodreads

For five centuries, a witch’s curse has bound the trolls to their city beneath the mountain. When Cécile de Troyes is kidnapped and taken beneath the mountain, she realises that the trolls are relying on her to break the curse.

Cécile has only one thing on her mind: escape. But the trolls are clever, fast, and inhumanly strong. She will have to bide her time…

But the more time she spends with the trolls, the more she understands their plight. There is a rebellion brewing. And she just might be the one the trolls were looking for…

Have you read this series? What were your thoughts?
